Reservation

Upon receipt of the reservation request, we will send you the confirmation as soon as possible. The reservation is then final.
The accommodation costs are due for the entire reserved period, even if arrival or departure is earlier or later than the agreed period.

Arrival and departure

Arrival on the arrival day is possible from 4:00 PM, departure on the departure date is before 9:00 AM.

Payment

Payment should be made as stated on the confirmation.
If the full amount has not been credited to our account within 7 days of the agreed deadline, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation.

Cancellation terms

The following cancellation terms apply to every reservation, unless other terms are explicitly agreed in writing at the time of booking.

From the moment of booking until 4 months before the arrival date

The reservation can be cancelled free of charge.

From 4 months to 2 months before the arrival date

In case of cancellation, a contractual cancellation fee of 50% of the total booked accommodation costs will be charged.

Within 2 months before the arrival date

In case of cancellation, a contractually agreed cancellation fee of 100% of the total booked accommodation costs will be charged.

The cancellation costs are a pre-agreed contractual compensation for cancelling the reserved accommodation outside the free cancellation period.

New rental after cancellation

If an accommodation cancelled by the guest is subsequently fully or partially re-let to another guest after the cancellation, this does not automatically entitle the guest to a refund or reduction of the agreed cancellation fees.

The original reservation and the applicable cancellation fees will remain separate from the new reservation.

Any full or partial reimbursement of already paid cancellation costs can only be expressly and in writing granted by Chalet Sonnentanz and constitutes a voluntary goodwill gesture. The guest may not derive any rights from this for future or other reservations.

Premature departure

If the guest decides to leave the accommodation before the originally booked departure date after the start of the stay, the full agreed amount of the original reservation remains due.

Early termination of the stay does not entitle the guest to a refund, reduction or offset of the costs for the unused days of stay.

This also applies if the guest leaves the accommodation earlier for personal reasons, due to changed travel plans, illness, weather conditions or other reasons that are not attributable to Chalet Sonnentanz.

Any early departure is considered as a voluntary termination of the stay by the guest and does not entitle to a change of the original booking or the agreed stay price.

If Chalet Sonnentanz re-lets the accommodation due to an early departure, this does not automatically entitle the original guest to a refund or reduction of the amount due.

Compelling legal provisions remain in full force and effect.

Cancellation and payment

A cancellation must be communicated in writing. The moment at which the written cancellation is received by Chalet Sonnentanz determines which cancellation period and cancellation fees apply.

If the outstanding cancellation costs have not yet been fully paid, the remaining amount remains due.

These terms and conditions are subject to Austrian law. Compulsory legal provisions for the protection of consumers remain unaffected.

Apartment

In the event that you discover any defects in your booked apartment upon arrival, please report them immediately so that we can resolve the issues as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for complaints and/or defects that arise subsequently.
If an accident occurs during your stay, we also ask that you report it as soon as possible so that we can remedy the inconvenience.

We have exclusively non-smoking apartments, but of course there is an ashtray available for outdoor use.

Parking

There is 1 parking space available per apartment, a 2nd car by consultation.

Cleaning

The final cleaning is carried out by us, however, you are required to leave the apartment broom clean, with the last dishes in the dishwasher. If the apartment is not left clean, additional cleaning fees may be charged.

Bed linen

Per stay, there is 1 set of bed linen per person and a towel set (large and small towel) per person included. It is possible to rent towels or bed linen for €7.50 per set. You will also receive a set of kitchen towels.

Pets

Taking a dog is only allowed by prior arrangement in the months of April, May, June, September, October and November. Maximum 1 per apartment, EUR 7.50 extra per night. Other pets are not allowed.

Maximum number of persons

The tenant is not allowed to sublet and may not accommodate more people than agreed.

Liability

We are not liable for any damage and/or injury occurring during your stay on our premises, regardless of the cause (unless gross negligence on the part of the landlord can be proven). The tenant is responsible for fulfilling all obligations arising from the reservation and the stay, both for themselves and for all registered persons and/or their visitors.
